Here in the U.S., the official start of the summer season begins in June with the summer solstice. Many people will be enjoying their summer break from work and school, either traveling or just relaxing at home. At Holy Name of Jesus Chinese Catholic Mission, our liturgies and fellowship activities do not take a summer break. The schedule for Holy Mass remains the same, our summer camp will be taking place from June 9-11th, while the faith seminars, small group meetings, Sunday potluck and volunteer activities continue all year long.

In the month of June, 2023, there are five major feast days, including the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity on June 4, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi on June 11, the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 16, the Solemnity of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist on June 24, and the Solemnity St. Peter and St. Paul on June 29. There are also six memorials of the saints: St Justin Martyr, the martyrs of Uganda, St. Boniface, St. Anthony of Padua, the Immaculate Heart of Mary and St. Aloysius Gonzaga. May we continue to grow in spirit this summer!
