On November 15, 2015, Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory promulgated a decree which established The Holy Name of Jesus Chinese Catholic Mission.
On August 30, 2016, the Chinese Catholic Community acquired the church property in Norcross.
On October 16, 2016, the First Mass was celebrated at the Chinese Mission.
On December 10, 2016, the Chinese Mission held an Open House to formally open its doors to the public.
