Thanks be to God! Our Evangelization Conference last September 23, 2018 was a great success! We had an attendance of over 70 first-time visitors, guests and parishioners. Our community gathered together to remember in a very special way the Last Supper of Jesus with His disciples. Through this experience, may we obtain a better understanding of what Jesus Christ did at the Last Supper and be drawn closer to Him, who is our Lord and Savior.
The Labor Day Pilgrimage to Alabama was a huge success! There were 46 participants and everyone had a wonderful experience. On the first day, we visited the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville and saw the miniature replicas of famous places at the Ave Maria Grotto in Cullman. On the second day, we went to Noccalula Falls in Gadsden and the Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville. It was a long weekend, but we grew in fellowship and the trip…
The Ignatian Spiritual Retreat was held last Saturday with over 50 attendees. It included a workshop on the Daily Examen – a spiritual exercise which includes a 5-step examination of conscience which helps a person use his feelings in daily life to understand and to do God’s will. The Eucharistic Congress was held this year on June 3-4 at the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC). The theme for 2016 is “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” In the morning of June 4, members of the community joined the Eucharistic procession which began at 8:30am. The Open House Celebration on December 10, 2016 was a great success! Over 300 members and guests attended an event-filled day with Mass, ribbon cutting, lunch, cultural performances, raffle and prayer.
