Pentecost Sunday
Prayers of the Faithful
Celebrant: Brothers and sisters, today we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the birth of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. With faith in the risen Lord, let us offer these prayers to the Lord:
L. We pray for our parishioners, may we learn to have complete trust in God, surrender everything to Him and receive the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray to the Lord.
L: We pray for our new brothers and sisters in Christ who recently received the Sacraments of Initiation, may they live a new life of faith and receive salvation in the name of Jesus. We pray to the Lord.
L: We pray for our mission of evangelization, may we do our part in bringing new members to the Church and helping the Body of Christ grow in faith and charity. We pray to the Lord.
L. We pray for persecuted Christians around the world. May the Holy Spirit grant them courage and strength to persevere in the faith. We pray to the Lord.
L: This Mass is offered for the families of Holy Name of Jesus Chinese Mission. We pray to the Lord.
L: We pray for those whose names are in our Prayer Box, especially Dawn Leach, Agnes Hu, Jasmine Ho, Michael Tan, Bian Meiyi, Chen Shupeng, Chen Jianxin, Liang Chenjing and Xu Taicheng. We pray to the Lord.
L: We pray for the souls in Purgatory, may our prayers aid them in their purification, that they may sooner enter into the joys of heaven. We pray to the Lord.
L: We pray for your personal intentions. May the Lord hear the prayers in our hearts and bring us closer to Him. We pray to the Lord.
Celebrant: Lord our God, grant us the grace to always cooperate with the inspirations of the Holy Spirit and to worship you in spirit and in truth. We ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN.
